Denise is a lifetime native of North Carolina. She earned her Associates Degree in Nursing from Wilkes Community College in 2007 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Winston Salem State University in 2010 while working as an Emergency Room Nurse. She also spent over eleven years working as a Certified Nephrology Nurse and holds a Master’s Degree in Nursing Education from Appalachian State University which she obtained in 2019. Denise decided to return to school to further her education in order to provide her patients with a higher level of care and received her Post Master’s Degree FNP from Carson-Newman University in 2023. Her interests include community health and providing each patient with an individualized approach to their care. In Denise’s spare time she enjoys spending time with family, gardening, cooking, and kayaking.
