Dr. Annika Wuerfel grew up in Memphis, Tennessee where she attended Rhodes College as a Bonner Scholar. At Rhodes, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She later received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry and Master of Public Health degrees from The Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa, Arizona. After working at a community health center in Arizona for several years, Dr. Wuerfel relocated to North Carolina to work at AppHealthCare. She is currently a participant in the HRSA National Health Service Corps and is dedicated to serving her community. In her free time, Dr. Wuerfel likes to travel, try new foods, and watch tv.
