Jessica Ange, MD – Medical Director

As the Medical Director for AppHealthCare, Dr. Ange is originally from eastern NC but has been living in Alleghany county since 2015. She obtained my medical degree from East Carolina University and completed residency training in Asheville, NC, with the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Ange and her husband lived and worked on a Native American reservation in Washington state before moving back to western NC to be closer to family. They love being in the mountains where there is lots of opportunity for hiking, biking, running, and other outdoor activities. They also enjoy traveling and exploring other cultures and have done volunteer work in several other countries. They currently have two young boys who keep us busy at home. Dr. Ange enjoys family medicine for the opportunity to work in primary care with patients of all ages, and particularly to focus on preventive and community health through healthy lifestyles and chronic disease management.
