Gina earned an Associate Degree in Nursing from Caldwell Community College in 2010 followed by a Bachelor Degree in Nursing from Winston Salem State University in 2011. In 2021, she completed a basic EMT course certification which sparked an interest in furthering her nursing education. In December 2023, she graduated with a Master’s Degree in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner focus. The majority of her nursing career was spent in the home health setting with additional background in a skilled nursing facility and hospital med/surg. Her passion is community health and she is excited for the opportunity to work at the Alleghany School Based Health Center and Alleghany Health Center to serve the residents of Alleghany County. Gina has previous nursing experience with skilled nursing, home health and acute care in a hospital setting. Gina has a passion for community health with a desire to provide patient centered care in the community. She is excited for the opportunity to work at the School Based Health Center and Alleghany Health Center to serve the residents of Alleghany County. She is happily married with two adult children and one grandchild. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, reading, and kayaking.
